Support services are provided for students with learning disabilities, speech and hearing difficulties, and other areas of exceptionality.
The Mary Frank PTA sponsors a parenting resource center in addition to a variety of field trips and programs. Our Winter Craft Night, Family Dinner Nights, Summer Send-Off, and the Fifth Grade Recognition Program are examples of popular activities sponsored by the PTA. Our PTA sponsors the “Reflections” creativity contest for all students as well as a citizenship essay writing contest for fourth and fifth grade students. Families also participate in a variety of school-sponsored activities during National TV Turn-Off Week in April. Parents also volunteer to work in the Instructional Materials Center, in the Art Smart Program, and in classrooms. In 2004, members of the PTA won national recognition from Midwest Living magazine for aprogram to encourage volunteers in the school.
